Publish Your Book with Cynthia Harrison

Whether you have a great idea for a book, are in the middle of writing one, or have a finished manuscript, this workshop will take you through the next steps to publication. Cindy will cover traditional publishing, small press publishing, e-publishing, and self-publishing. She’ll also discuss the pros and cons of each of these different ways of publishing, from finding an agent to formatting your book for Kindle. You’ll find out exactly what publishers require along with your manuscript, and together we will work on writing and delivering pitches, which are short-form queries that answer the basic question “What’s your book about?” Each participant (or the first thirty to register) will receive Cindy’s creative writing manual with sample queries and synopses. There will be plenty of time for questions after the presentation and pitch session. Free for adults age 18 and older.

    • Connie, I’d be very happy to do this workshop for anybody in Long Bayou who is interested. It would be my pleasure, really. And I’ve got a set of all my books packed and ready to come to St Pete with me. I want to donate them to the library there as so many people asked me about them. Miss you but will see you soon xo
