It happened on the first page. A surprise twist I was not expecting and did not see coming. For all my careful notes, it’s a game changer. It’s that big of a part of the story. At least for now. I’m not sure how it will work out, if it will dilute the central conflict, but I keep telling myself that it’s a first draft and I have permission to write anything at all as long as I write. And so I have begun.
This post vibrates with possibility.

I guess the story had other ideas. Hey, if it keeps you guessing hopefully it will have the same effect on readers.

I hope you’re right John. I have heard writers say “If you’re bored with your story, the reader is too.” Not bored yet:)

Ah, twists and surprises! Life has a way of doing that, and so do novels, eh?

So true. Now, if only the rest of the idea would come together sooner than later…I have questions but no more answers…at least not yet.
