Chapter One

It happened on the first page. A surprise twist I was not expecting and did not see coming. For all my careful notes, it’s a game changer. It’s that big of a part of the story. At least for now. I’m not sure how it will work out, if it will dilute the central conflict, but I keep telling myself that it’s a first draft and I have permission to write anything at all as long as I write. And so I have begun.

  1. So true. Now, if only the rest of the idea would come together sooner than later…I have questions but no more answers…at least not yet.
