Full Moon Writing

After a few days away, it’s time to get back to my WIP. I know what I need to do, I just have to begin. Again. A fun way to think about story is to check out what the moon is up to and then let the characters act accordingly. Unlike a personal horoscope, a moon reading has some general information that can be applied to anyone.

I love Rhea’s take on New Moons and Full Moons. Today’s full moon advice to look in the mirror before blaming others is spot on with what I had planned for my character today. Luke isn’t so much looking in an actual mirror and describing his physical self (that’s a huge writing cliche) as he is holding a mirror to his soul and seeing how his actions have hurt others.

Wish me luck, and look out for werewolves!

  1. The moon was amazing this weekend. It’s overcast and raining tonight.

Good luck with beginning again, but I doubt you’ll need it. You know where you’re going.
