Always Writing

So busy with work this week. Just read Conrad’s Heart of Darkeness  in “Brit Lit” and I swear cutting through his prose style was like hacking through the Congo bush. We are reading Chinua Achebe next, which will be a welcome relief. Finished poetry unit in my “Writing About Literature” class, so papers will be coming in next week.

Not sure what happened to my motivation to revise WIP #3, but it got lost somewhere in the lesson plans. I have been writing–not revising but journaling. That’s about all I have energy for right now. Which is fine. It’s natural to take a break when a project is finished. And, I do plan to get my query out to agents next week, no matter what.

  1. LOL, Cindy! I felt the same way about Conrad’s book! I wish some of these writers could have read Bill Zinsser’s mantra in his “On Writing Well” … “Clarity, brevity, humanity!”
