So I’ve got my set up all written. Now it’s that long stretch of a hundred pages or so where the conflict escalates and the sexual tension skyrockets and the story propels relentlessly forward.
Or so I hope.
Today, instead of typing a new scene into the computer I took notebook in hand and wrote out six ideas for good middle-of-the-book scenes. Tomorrow and every day this week, I will type up at least one of those scenes. And, as you might know, writing those scenes will lead to new scenes and before you know it I will be through the dreaded and treacherous middle & into the exciting payoff of the conclusion.
