Things have not gone as smoothly with the rewrite as I assumed yesterday, but then, they never do;-) Wrote another new scene and now am into the fairly labor-intensive teasing out of obsolete sentences and adding new ones. It sounds boring, but it’s not. And I’m confident that soon there will be whole scenes I can leave intact. Well, mostly confident with a pinch of trepidation. And I’m more than halfway through the book!!

It is not easy to me either. The time that goes between the first version and the 2nd one…it may be months, even…gulp…years. But when the time is right, the story may come out rather fast, and then I’d better be ready and write it out just the way it comes to me.
