Chocolate & Romance

I woke up at one in the morning and considered starting my NaNo novel. Then I went back to sleep;-)

Now it’s 10 am and I’ve finished my 2000 words for today. I also finished the book collage this morning and its hanging on my wall to remind me about my characters and their journey.

Right in the middle of the collage I cut out a big pink heart. Inside the heart I pasted a photo of my couple looking into each other’s eyes. I looked through a lot of magazines to find the perfect photo. I love it. I adore the whole collage, really. I’ve been going through old magazines for a few days now and started putting the board together yesterday.

To remind me this is a romance, I made a smaller heart, cut it in half, and glued a Tiffany key on each side. Then I put this parted heart on either side of my big heart because the key to this story is going to be the romance, damn it!

And to help me with that Iwent to B&N yesterday and bought four romance novels and also a book written by two romance novelists called The Everything Gude to Writing a Romance Novel. I’m on Chapter 5. It’s really good. And so is the romance I’m reading by Michelle Celmer.

I was reading Michelle’s book last night as I passed out candy bars. Which btw I ate not one piece! That’s a miracle. Or maybe it’s the box of Godiva I also bought at the bookstore.

  1. Her new release out this month. I loved it! The Oilman’s Baby Bargain, maybe? Terrible title, but a fun breezy read. She makes it seem easy, although after day 2 I know it isn’t.
